Welcome to Oxford Spires Academy

Oxford Spires Academy serves the East Oxford community and is a richly diverse and highly aspiring Academy which offers an excellent, inspiring education to boys and girls aged 11 to 19. The Academy opened in January 2011.

Each student is challenged and supported to exceed his or her potential and 'be the best they can be'. Our main specialism is English because of its importance to every child’s growth and achievement.

We aim to be a centre of excellence for reading, oral skills and literacy, enabling students to excel in use of English at all levels including our able, gifted and talented students as well as students learning English as a second language.

Our second specialism, Business and Enterprise education, is designed to deliver excellent results at all levels, with links to business mentors and exciting business and enterprise opportunities. Both specialisms have a strong focus on skills for life and future success.
